Make novel products that can bring a smile to someone's face, at a reasonable price. Ensure attention to detail that results in safe, well-made, quality items that are good value. Keep things simple but creative, without the use of any modern-day artificial intelligence. Promote inclusion of all people across society; it's not about being woke, it's about involving everyone and realising their value. Cats. Yes we love cats, can't help ourselves. Our adopted black cat Dreamy has just turned 20, still going strong, she's our lucky mascot!!

FAQ

Why don't you display your phone number / email address?
As a small team, to best and safely balance time between manufacturing items and helping customers, we direct all queries via email; this also helps reduce the number of spam calls that we receive. The email address is displayed after answering the simple spambot challenge.

Do you resell returned items?
Potentially yes, unless it's a question of hygiene in which case no. Sometimes we might be able to reuse parts of a product, as we control the manufacturing process, otherwise disposal is made where possible via a recycling facility. The main aim is to maintain safety whilst minimising wastage, this keeps costs down plus it's better for the environment.

Do you accept product special requests?
Potentially! Please feel free to contact us, no promises however we'll be happy to try and help.

How can I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Can't believe you want to! Kidding, but sorry to see you leave. Use the link at the foot of the most recent newsletter. Otherwise contact us using the same email address and we'll do it for you (no questions asked... but we're always grateful to hear any feedback!).

Are you connected with the Windy Bank area in Yorkshire?
No connection. Windybank is a family name for some of our team.

Why don't you sell goods directly from your site?
This website is quite new, we're still adding various things as well as seeing how it works out. We are currently looking at a checkout solution. In the short term, third party marketplaces help by getting our products more widely seen as well as securely handling checkout and payment.

Do you provide a dedicated app?
There is no bespoke app however some browsers (e.g. Chrome) may allow you to install this site as an "app" (web application). If available for this site, please note that it won't work offline, there also won't be a huge difference to viewing directly through a browser; privacy settings will be the same as set for the browser from which you installed the app (the app effectively runs in an instance of that browser).

How do you ensure product safety?
We take great care in sourcing raw materials, also in researching any potential safety hazards that they or the final product might pose. Final product designs are put through thorough product testing before fully ordering supplies and placing the items on sale. Any key potential hazards or safety notices are clearly highlighted on packaging plus we maintain the same within an online "User Guide" for each product, accessed by scanning the QR code on product packaging or by visiting this website. Batches of supplies and manufacture dates are also tracked.

Why don't you manufacture abroad ?
Some raw materials do come from China and other countries, via local UK suppliers, however many of our products have a personalised element and making them ourselves means we can adapt them and get them to customers far more quickly. We also keep control of the manufacturing process and can experiment with new ideas without having to commit to ordering large volumes upfront. And we're proud to be making them on our doorstep!

Do you use forced or illegal labour?
Of course not! We don't support such practice.

Do you have a Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) policy?
Yes, at a basic level (small team here!), not discriminating or victimising in our day to day duties on grounds of race, age, disability, gender (including as identified), sexual orientation, socio-economic background, religion, marital or partnership status, pregnancy or maternity status, or nationality. We only support recruiting or promoting someone on grounds of ability (allowing for practical, physical limitations).

What are your privacy and trading policies?
These are set out in full on this page.

Does this site cater for accessibility?
We're working to improve this although key web standards should be supported. If there is urgent functionality that you feel is being overlooked, please let us know!

Note that if you change the theme to the opposite of your browser default, using the button top right of every page, you may notice a brief background "flash" as some pages load. This only happens in certain browsers and unfortunately is outside of our control. This issue is revisited regularly in line with browser developments.
